Jeff was a Prosecutor in Montgomery County from 2011 until early 2018. Working for the District Attorney’s Office for seven years has provided him with the opportunity to review thousands of cases, negotiate hundreds of pleas and try many misdemeanor and felony cases to verdict in front of a jury. During his time at the Office, he was a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children task force, Public Integrity Unit, Misdemeanor Trial Bureau, Felony Trial Bureau and the Special Victims Division.
Prior to his work at the District Attorney’s Office, Jeff obtained his law degree at South Texas College of Law in downtown Houston where he excelled in their Mock Trial Program. Jeff received the distinction of being selected for the Order of Barristers for his work in advocacy and was asked to return to South Texas as an Adjunct Professor, teaching trial skills. During national competitions, Jeff received an Exceptional Advocate Award, was a member of the Championship team at the Regional National Trial Competition and was chosen to represent South Texas in the Baylor Top Gun Mock Trial Competition. Within South Texas, Jeff was a member of the Championship team in the T. Gerald Treece Summer Academy Mock Trial Tournament.
