Joshua “Josh” D. Allison is the owner and managing attorney of JOSHUA D. ALLISON, A Professional Law Corporation, and is also the lead litigation attorney in all of the law firm’s areas of practice. His mission is to provide exceptional representation to all of his clients. This only comes by virtue of aggressive advocacy, client responsiveness, and adherence to the highest standards of professionalism and ethics at all times.
Josh is a native and life-long resident of southeast Louisiana having grown up in beautiful St. Bernard Parish while attending school in New Orleans. He then attended Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, Louisiana on multiple academic scholarships and graduated in 2009 with a Bachelors of Arts Degree majoring in political science and minoring in history. Josh then attended Loyola College of Law in historic Uptown New Orleans, graduating in 2014 with his Juris Doctor in Civil Law as well as a Certificate in International Law.
While in law school, Josh was elected by his fellow students to the Honor Board, a student-led organization responsible for administering Loyola’s ethics code among the student body. Also while in law school, he was honored to successfully represent both the Loyola College of Law and the City of New Orleans as a competing oralist in the world’s largest and most prestigious moot court competition, the Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court Competition. After several months of hard work and preparation, Josh and his team took first place at the national regional level and then advanced to the international competition in Washington D.C. as one of only twelve teams representing the United States against over 100 law schools from around the world, a very proud first for the Loyola College of Law.
Also while in law school, Josh worked as a law clerk and then as an associate attorney at the Mid-City New Orleans law firm of Burgos & Evans, LLC. While at Burgos & Evans, Josh worked on various types of complex civil litigation cases including products liability, medical malpractice, appellate procedure, and family law, and also worked with other talented attorneys and a dedicated staff of legal assistants and paralegals.
Josh is a graduate of the National Institute of Trial Advocacy, an American not-for-profit organization that provides lawyers with specialized training in trial advocacy skills. As a graduate of this program, Josh is part of fifty year heritage that has equipped thousands of attorneys with valuable trial and litigation skills. Josh proudly brings these skills to the table for every case, for every client.
Josh is licensed to practice in all state courts of Louisiana, including all appellate courts and the Louisiana Supreme Court. He is also licensed to practice in the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Middle, and Western Districts of Louisiana as well as the United States Court of Appeal for the Fifth Circuit. He is a current and active member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, 22nd JDC Bar Association, 21st JDC Bar Association, the 24th JDC Bar Association, the Federal Bar Association, and Louisiana Association for Justice.
In addition to owning and operating the law firm, Josh is also an elected official in the Parish of St. Tammany serving as Chairman of the Republican Parish Executive Committee. In this role, Josh and his fellow elected members of the committee endorse certain ballot propositions, conservative and upstanding elected officials, and monitor election integrity. Josh lives with his wife and three children in Tchefuncta Estates in Covington, Louisiana and attends First Baptist of Covington. Josh not only acknowledges but appreciates the important role that one’s personal faith in God often plays in his profession as well as in the personal lives of his many clients.
