Ashley Whitham has devoted her entire career to representing those accused of crimes and has represented thousands of clients both in felony and misdemeanor cases. Before stepping out into private practice she worked as a Public Defender for the State of Colorado. In addition, Ms. Whitham worked for the San Diego Public Defender’s Office during law school representing clients under the student practice act. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Whitham ran Progressive Youth, a program for juveniles who were involved in the legal system.
Ms. Whitham has earned a reputation of being aggressive and tough in the courtroom and is known as a fearless trial attorney. Ashley Whitham has taken over 180 cases to trial in her career ranging from homicides to traffic infractions. Besides trial work, Ms. Whitham knows that the prosecution is often far reaching in their hopes of obtaining a conviction and has been successful in litigating law enforcements’ actions and keeping substantial evidence from being used against her clients. Furthermore, Ms. Whitham has also been successful in dismissal of cases through thorough and knowledgeable litigation.
In addition to criminal cases Ms. Whitham is also experienced in family law matters. Ms. Whitham has zealously fought for her clients in divorces, custody cases, child support matters and other domestic related cases. Ms. Whitham is known for helping her clients through these tough times and achieving favorable outcomes.
Ashley Whitham knew from an early age that her passion was in the legal field and quickly discovered she would devote her life to the representation of individuals accused of committing crimes and those wrapped up in family disputes. Ms. Whitham attended the University of Wyoming where she received her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice and Political Science. She then went on to receive her Master’s Degree from the University of Wyoming in Public Administration. Ms. Whitham attended Thomas Jefferson School of Law in San Diego, California where she earned her law degree. Upon completion of law school, she moved to Colorado and currently lives in Grand Junction, Colorado.
When Ms. Whitham is not working, she spends her time road biking, hiking, cooking, golfing, and hanging out with family and friends, enjoying the beautiful Grand Valley and the surrounding areas.
