Ms. Kamand Kompanian is a Bay Area native.  Ms. Kompanian attended the University of San Francisco where she majored in Political Science and minored in legal studies. During her studies at the University of San Francisco, Ms. Kompanian earned a spot on the Dean’s List and the opportunity to intern at the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office. 

After graduating from the University of San Francisco, Ms. Kompanian attended Lincoln Law School of San Jose.  While at Lincoln Law School, Ms. Kompanian received Academic Excellence Awards in Remedies, Wills and Trusts, and Moot Court.  She also served as the Articles Editor of the Lincoln Law Review and received various scholarships including the Eugenia C. Liontas Scholarship.

During her third year of study at Lincoln, Ms. Kompanian was recruited by one of her evidence professors to intern at his law firm.  While interning at his criminal defense law firm, Ms. Kompanian was able to assist with misdemeanor trials and select felony trials. 

Upon graduating from Lincoln Law School, Ms. Kompanian took the California Bar Exam and passed on her first attempt.  A few months after receiving her Bar Examination results, Ms. Kompanian was recruited by a local boutique law firm.  Ms. Kompanian’s quick mastery of family law litigation earned her a position as a partner two years later.  Ms. Kompanian remained a partner at that firm until she decided it was time to venture out on her own in 2019 when she established The Law Offices of Kamand Kompanian, APC.

Ms. Kompanian primarily practices family law in Santa Cruz County and Santa Clara County.  She has also represented clients in San Mateo County, Contra Costa County, Alameda County, Monterey County, Fresno County, and Los Angeles County.

Ms. Kompanian’s passion for family law has resulted in her becoming one of the most active and sought-after attorneys in Santa Cruz County.  She zealously advocates for her clients whether it be during settlement negotiations or litigation.  Ms. Kompanian has worked on a variety of complex issues and represented high net worth clients.

Outside of her practice, Ms. Kompanian has volunteered with the Alameda County Bar Association and Bay Area Legal Aid as a pro bono attorney for domestic violence victims and has also offered pro bono services at the Walnut Avenue Family and Women’s Center.

In her spare time, Ms. Kompanian enjoys traveling and spending time with her husband and their daughter.
