Audra M. Dunlap is a 2010 cum laude graduate of Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University where she majored in Political Science with a concentration in Legal Studies, and completed minors in History and Philosophy. During her time at Virginia Tech, Audra was a recipient of the Pamplin Leadership Award, and was active in various Honor Societies, including Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society, and The National Society of Collegiate Scholars.

Following graduation, Audra was selected for an internship with the Office of United States Senator Mark R. Warner. Throughout this internship, Audra attended meetings with local elected officials, business, education, and community leaders in Southwest Virginia, conducted research for staff, performed general administrative duties, and fielded constituent opinions. At the conclusion of the internship, Audra served as a Legal Assistant in a local law firm where she provided secretarial support and assisted with the preparation of legal documents and files.

Audra is a 2014 cum laude graduate of the University of Tennessee School of Law, where she completed coursework in areas of Pre-Trial Litigation, Negotiations, Advanced Appellate Advocacy, and Labor Relations Law. Additionally, Audra served as a UT Law Student Ambassador, a member of Phi Alpha Delta, and was the recipient of The Robert McKnight Memorial Scholarship in Labor Law. Following her first year of law school, Audra was selected for an internship with the Legal Department of Alpha Natural Resources, Inc. She primarily assisted the Vice President & Assistant General Counsel of HR, Benefits, & Safety and was exposed to various areas of the law, including: employment law, safety and health regulations, environmental regulations, benefits/severance plans, and PAC funds. During the Summer of 2013, Audra was selected by Penn Stuart & Eskridge as a Summer Associate, where she conducted legal research and analysis, prepared legal memorandums, and participated and/or observed witness and expert depositions, attorney-client meetings, and preliminary hearings.

Audra was hired as an Associate Attorney of Speaks Law Firm in September, 2015. Since joining our team, Audra has become an integral part of Speaks Law Firm’s personal injury litigation team. Though she assists clients throughout all stages of their cases, Audra’s primary responsibility includes drafting demand packages and complex pleadings for cases designated for litigation.
