Andrew (Drew) Quisenberry’s passion for the law started in his formative years. A sense of advocacy developed through his father, who was a conservationist that successfully inspired a community to protect one of the largest preservation areas in the Southeastern U.S. The elder Quisenberry lobbied on behalf of the state of Mississippi in 1974 to protect and conserve 35,000 acres of land that were slated to be sold to a large paper mill. Coined the “grassroots epic” by biologist Edward Wilson, the Pascagoula Watershed is now a thriving 70,000-acre nature preserve that hosts wildlife for the surrounding communities to enjoy.

Through the years, Drew watched his father advocate for the environment, navigating political powers and policy to advance his personal mission to respect nature and preserve its beauty. Drew grew up understanding that before a conversation can begin, everyone should have a seat at the table. This became a driving force in Drew’s desire to practice law.

In 2004, Drew received his undergraduate degree in international studies, specializing in business and economics, from the Croft Institute of International Studies at the University of Mississippi. He went on to work at his uncle’s Los Angeles-based law firm, where he received his first practical taste of negotiation and litigation. He continued learning the ropes from his uncle, an experienced trial attorney with a successful plaintiff practice. This experience solidified Drew’s future as an advocate for the people.

After moving to Colorado in 2008 to attend the University of Denver’s Sturm College of Law, Drew embraced living in a place that supported his environmentalist and conservation roots. He continued to hone his skills by practicing in the student law office at the university.

Following graduation in May 2011, Drew began working with Randy Barnhart, a reputable trial attorney in Denver. He worked on cases involving bad-faith insurance and product liability.

Drew came to Bachus & Schanker, LLC in August 2014 experienced in class-action lawsuits, wage and hour disputes, insurance coverage and bad faith, and product liability. Today, he lives in Denver and enjoys the Colorado mountain lifestyle of camping, fly fishing, backcountry skiing and hiking. He has been a member of the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association since 2010.
